To obtain an LTC/CHL license, follow these steps:

STEP 1: Enroll in an Online Course

The Texas DPS requires this course. Our online class takes around 4 hours to complete. You can complete the course at your own speed, from any location, and on any device. You will be able to print your LTC-101 Certificate immediately after completing the course.

STEP 2: Qualification for Shooting

After finishing the online course and printing your certificate. You must contact a local LTC instructor, set up range time, and complete a proficiency/familiarization qualification.

STEP 3: Submit your LTC application to the DPS.

When you have completed all your training, you should then complete the Texas DPS online application and fingerprinting. When finished and submitted, the Texas DPS will mail your license.
